Usable Privacy

Usable privacy is a key research topic in the conflicting areas of technological progress and data protection. The aim is to develop security solutions that combine data protection and user-friendliness. From smart home applications to IoT devices, systems should be intuitive to use and simultaneously offer the highest security standards.

Research questions:

  • How can data protection solutions in smart home systems be designed to be more user-friendly?
  • Which mechanisms strengthen trust in IoT devices through improved security architectures?
  • How can the balance between privacy, security and user experience be optimized?

Research with us.
